Call for Abstracts
You are invited to submit abstracts for poster or platform presentations in the general areas of microscopy, flow cytometry and applications in both Life/Biology Sciences and Physical Sciences.
- Abstracts are still accepted via the registration site until April 12, 2017.
Abstracts may be submitted for consideration as an oral and/or poster presentation.
Abstract presenters must register and pay their registration fees in order to submit an abstract. Be prepared to submit your abstract when you register as the abstract submission is included with the registration form.
If you wish to submit your abstract at a later time, DO NOT check the boxes "I would like to present a poster" or "I would like to be considered for an oral presentation". After you register you can go back into your file and add or upload your abstract.
If you wish to upload your abstract in a Word or PDF format, please follow the following guidelines:
Text must be in Arial 11 font. Title, bold, all caps. One empty line and then authors list, empty line and authors affiliations. Enter the email address of the presenting author after the author's affiliations. Two pages maximum, no more, including text and figures. References should be placed at the end of the abstract in the order they appear in the abstract. The last reference should be used for acknowledgements. Paragraphs must be separated by an empty line.
Student Awards and Scholarships (CMCS and CFDM scholarships)
The Canadian Microscopy & Cytometry Symposium (CMCS) will present $500 travel awards to 4 students/post-docs that attend the symposium. To apply for this award, please submit a small justification as to why you should be selected and/or an abstract when registering for CMCS.
The Canadian Foundation for the Development of Microscopy (CFDM) will provide 2 travel scholarships up to $1000 to students attending CMCS. Students will have to submit candidacy following the CFDM rules. All students attending the CMCS are welcome to submit their candidacy.
